Occupational therapists provide outpatient community mental health services to pediatric clients ages 0-25 experiencing a variety of behavioral health challenges. Most commonly clients experience symptoms related to diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, or ADHD. Services are provided virtually, at home, in schools, and in the community as needed by the clients and families. Occupational therapists provide outpatient community mental health services to adult clients ages 18-end of life experiencing a variety of behavioral health challenges. Most commonly clients experience symptoms related to diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, substance abuse, or ADHD. Services are provided virtually, at home, in schools, and in the community as needed by the clients. OTs are expected to drive between clients and be autonomous in scheduling their assigned caseload weekly. Strong organization and communication skills are a must.
