1276-Carbon Composites Development Engineer in North Carolina

Location: Winston-Salem, NC but 33% travel to Gardena, CA in the first year as the new facility is being built in Winston-Salem, NC 

Reports to: VP of Research and Development

Position Summary:

• The Development Engineer will lead product and process development projects for high temperature materials, C/Phenolic, C/C, and C/SiC composites.
• Detailed project management of development opportunities and technical oversight of company product lines.
• Drive the costing of new products, perform trials, and report results to internal and external stakeholders.
• Serve as the customer-facing technical expert for company manufacturing processes, which includes silica leaching, carbonization, and CVI treatments. 
• Identify new business opportunities and participate in the vetting of development projects to determine feasibility and prioritization.
