Mental Health Worker in Pennsylvania

Access Services is seeking Children's Mental Health Respite Worker to spend time with children & youth as part of our Respite Services team in many locations across Montgomery County.

As a Children’s Mental Health Respite Worker, you will provide relief to families and caregivers by offering hourly respite for a child or youth in their home or community. Qualifying respite children and youth have a mental health or behavioral health diagnosis. Families who apply to this program may lack the natural support to be able to accomplish tasks, practice self-care and take the time to recharge. Offering respite allows the family or caregiver of a child to leave the home, take a break, and be refreshed while their child is safely cared for by a Children's Mental Health Respite Worker. GENERAL OVERVIEW OF KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Mental Health Worker, meeting the requirements of a Case Manager, will provide intensive care in the home, school, and community to children/adolescents and their families.  They will assure collaboration of all outside services as well as securing new services that are needed.  Mental Health Workers engage youth and families in effective strategies with the goal of restoring, building, strengthening, developing, and maintaining their capacity to successfully function in their homes and community.
