Building Superintendent - Live In

Full time employment opportunity for an individual with the right skills and work ethic to handle daily superintendent matters for a well-kept apartment building. In addition to performing certain custodial tasks, good basic hands-on skills are required for some plumbing, carpentry, plaster/painting, electrical and other repair/improvement projects that are part of the job.

Requirements

Five years or more of skilled trade or building service work preferred, with some experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, boiler, paint-plaster and masonry a plus!

Must be able to follow instructions and carry out tasks from management personnel when projects are assigned and also take the initiative to fix and improve things as needed, without being told.

Applicant should have a valid driver's license and preferably own a car.

This is a full time position for a well skilled individual who can assist with various building related repairs and general upkeeping and improvements of the property. In addition to having a well rounded skill set, the candidate must be able to follow instructions and carry out various custodial and technical assignments from management personnel when tasked to do so. The interested candidate must of course be respectful and get along well with building residents, and also needs to be able to take corrective action when a matter needs attention, without being told.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years of building related service work experience, and can demonstrate good hands-on basic skills in the following areas:

Plumbing, Carpentry, Boiler, Electrical, Plaster/Painting, Masonry, Custodial
