Consumer Resource Specialist

Our vision is that the community we serve understands that behavioral healthcare, substance abuse recovery, and physical healthcare are essential to overall health, and that our quality, consumer-driven food insecurity services will assist them in achieving sustained improvement in all dimensions of wellness. When we think about our health, it is quite common that we only consider our physical health needs. At BHH, we work to change the thought process to include all social determinants of health including: mental health, substance use issues, community safety, education, economic and food security. The food security program will connect the community with our food pantry, host congregate dining, establish Ocean County’s Food Recovery Network as well as providing case management support for barrier reduction, community awareness and follow-up services.
