PURPOSE
The purpose of the Henry J. Austin Health Center (HJAHC) PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program is to build on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency programs, or equivalent experiences, in order to prepare pharmacists to be highly qualified independent ambulatory care practitioners within Federally Qualified Health Centers or similar patient care settings. These pharmacists will be prepared to take and pass the BCACP. These pharmacists will be integral members of a multidisciplinary primary care team skilled at educating patients and healthcare professionals, experienced at working within an integrated behavioral healthcare model, and prepared for leadership roles within their practice.
