Endodontic Assistant in Virginia

• Support the endodontist in providing exceptional patient care during procedures
• Prepare the treatment room and ensure all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use
• Assist with root canal procedures and other endodontic treatments
• Take and develop dental radiographs for treatment planning
• Maintain patient records and assist in patient education regarding post-treatment care
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations
• Provide outstanding customer service and address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1-3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certified (Required)
• X-Ray Certification (Preferred)

• Preferred 2-5 years of Dental Assistant experience with focus on endodontics
• Achieved CDA certification, or completed radiological equivalency exam through VA State Board of Dental Examiners, or completed CODA-accredited dental assisting program
• CPR certified, or will become CPR certified within 30 days of hire
• Ability to professionally present clinical information regarding treatment plans
• Knowledge of Dentrix software a plus
• Regular and timely attendance
• Ability to demonstrate independent thinking and exercise good judgment ability to formulate, affect, interpret, and/or implement operating practices
• Ability to demonstrate a teamwork approach to job responsibilities
