Field Piping Engineer

Requirements

• Gather information and resolving issues in the field to streamline adequate workflow and progress
• Develop Piping work packages using Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel & word.
• Utilize Client provided NavisWorks model to identify piping construction scope
• Review Client Material Take Offs to identify and order materials required for installation based on work packages created
• Coordinate with Management & field supervision
• Sketch Piping isometrics utilizing Bluebeam
• Assisted in revising piping isometrics and giving workforce clear instructions to perform work that meets piping specifications and requirements
• Weld Mapping
• Draft pipe supports
• Coordinate with all disciplines (Pipe, Steel, Mechanical)
• Communicate with site Superintendent and/or Project Manager
• Work with client reps., foreman, GF's to obtain job specific information
• Monitor and forecast progress of activities in schedules by assessing or measuring physical progress in engineering and field construction.
• Highlight problem areas and grant solutions
• Continually monitoring critical path
• Make frequent daily walks in the field to review, monitor, and evaluate progress, performance, quality and compliance to the site safety rules, specific requirements, and procedures.
• Partake in Day/Night shift roll over.
