Full Job Description
Auria is looking to hire IT Network Engineer & Lab Support to join our Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. This position will be based in Huntsville, AL.
The candidate will be part of the Platform and Infrastructure (P&I) information technology team and assist senior system administrators and government network subject matter experts with the management and sustainment of network components supporting associated support networks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance is required to start.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years experience in a related field (will also consider new college grads with appropriate degrees and clearance).
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required (Security + CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security).
- Experience with network communication products including router, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS) and data encryption products.
- Knowledge of network architecture, engineering, design, implementation, and testing.
- Understanding of network communication protocols and network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP) and IP network troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of network testing methodologies using routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP behavior, network communications and routing protocols, network traffic analysis and troubleshooting experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior knowledge of the C2BMC networks or organization.
- Knowledge, skill sets or experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers (e.g., Wireshark).
- Excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools, willing to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers.
- Experience in Network Management Systems (HP Network Node Manager or Solarwinds or NAS/SAN technologies (NetApp, or Gigastore).
- Certifications in the industry vendor Juniper or Cisco a plus.
Salary Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($99,000 - $110,000).
