POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of our Paint team, this position will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining our paint robotics line.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Perform all maintenance on the paint robots, including replacing parts according to the maintenance schedule.
- Troubleshoot and identify all robot painting issues.
- Monitor and check robot spray status and quality.
- Adjust the robot when necessary, according to weather, temperature, or type of material being used in the paint.
- Monitor orange peel readings on each bus.
- Program the robot to conform to and spray each new contract, making program adjustments to existing contracts when needed.
- Perform test spray outs for each new color before the bus enters the paint line to ensure paint chip match and customer approval.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- 3+ years of automotive painting experience.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Advanced knowledge of blueprints and measuring.
- Experience in robotic operating and programming is preferred.
- Eligible to apply after being employed for a minimum of 6 months.
