Full Job Description
Qualis Corporation is seeking a senior engineer with experience developing complex controls and estimation algorithms for position navigation and timing solutions. This engineer will have an understanding of complex estimation techniques, Kalman filtering and enhanced Kalman filtering. The candidate for this position should have demonstrated ability to develop position, navigation, and timing solutions or guidance and navigation experience to join our team of well qualified, diverse individuals at our Huntsville, AL office.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and apply advanced algorithm design methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems.
- Provide subject matter expertise in control theory and act as the lead solutions architect for guidance navigation and control
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 10+ years of experience
- Experience with DoD Position, Navigation, and Timing projects
- Experience with design engineering and systems engineering principles on DoD programs
- Experience with digital signal processing systems and radio frequency systems
- Experience with advanced time signal synchronization techniques
- Ability to work with a dynamic, skilled team on high–impact, high–visibility projects
- Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in EE or a related technical field required; PhD preferred
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
