Full Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Develop and document an integrated process for Program Office to Program and Cross-Program Interdependencies, which requires an understanding of the existing formats employed and the content structures. As needed, develop, maintain, and integrate Plans & Process (P&P) documentation from draft to baseline. Perform integration across multiple disciplines, organizations, and systems. Development and maintenance of agreements planning as well as tracking and control of Interdependence data and status. Support the processing and approval of Bilateral Software Hardware Exchange Agreements, Lists, and Schedules (BSHEALS) and Bilateral Data Exchange Agreements, Lists, and Schedules (BDEALS) or equivalent.
2. Derive/provide lean and effective strategies, approaches, and processes for management, control, and organization of Cross Program Interdependencies and related data management processes.
3. Provide systems engineering support to the Moon-to-Mars (M2M) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team with a focus on the Plans & Processes (P&P) team. This includes but is not limited to developing and supporting the M2M SE&I P&P products, tasks, activities, providing support and reviewing change packages; and other systems engineering, and integration tasks as required.
4. Participate, as directed, in various Integrated Task Team (ITT) meetings; Program to Program (P2P) meetings; major M2M and program-level milestone reviews, and monthly reviews and / or telecons to collect the required information for supporting these task processes.
5. Provide systems engineering support to the P&P products and deliverables; support weekly P&P meetings to ensure close coordination and integration with other stakeholders; Coordinate and facilitate document revision through CM/DM processes as directed by the Plans & Processes managers.
6. Support development of M2M Products as assigned.
7. Update P&P technical schedule for products and scope being performed.
8. Provide strategies for system engineering based on Product Breakdown Structure.
Work Environment:
Office and laboratory environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Requires travel in the domestic USA (<15%).
Physical Requirements:
Requires sitting for extended periods of time in meetings with peers, management, and with our client at NASA facilities to discuss technical issues (10%). Also, requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk to write reports and perform engineering tasks (80%). Requires ability to use stairs or elevators for access between floors and multiple buildings at NASA and our facilities (10%).
Equipment and Machines:
Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, fax machine, copier, calculator, and other general office equipment (100%).
Attendance:
Normal workday is from 7:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Minimal overtime may be required (10%) to meet schedule milestones and to support technical demands of the job. Regular attendance is a necessity and adequate arrangements for delegating duties during absences are required.
Other Essential Functions:
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential (100%). Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.

Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in aerospace, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Physics or equivalent from an ABET accredited institution with significant experience in Systems Engineering/Systems Management. 15 years of experience is preferred
1. An Engineer who is pro-active, a good communicator, is organized, and skilled with Microsoft products. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
2. The ability to lead cross-agency teams is required..
3. SE&I experience working with the development of launch vehicles and large-scale programs producing cross-program SE&I activities, technical assessments, and products is desired.
4. Previous experience working with the Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate Exploration Systems Division/Cross Systems Integration is desired.
