Note: Applicants must be located in Arizona or have experience working as an Immigration Attorney in Arizona.
Responsibilities:
As an Immigration Attorney, you will provide comprehensive legal services and strategic advice to clients on various immigration matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, preparing, and reviewing legal documents related to immigration petitions, applications, and other filings
- Conducting legal research to ensure accuracy and compliance with immigration laws, policies, and procedures
- Managing communication with clients and addressing their inquiries regarding their immigration cases
- Maintaining accurate documentation of client interactions, case developments, and billable hours
- Representing clients in immigration proceedings, including asylum hearings, adjustment of status interviews, and immigration court hearings
- Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the timely and effective delivery of legal services
- Staying up-to-date on changes in immigration laws and policies
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, additionally, advanced or native Spanish proficiency is desirable, though not required.
- Excellent communication skills and adeptness in documentation and reporting.
- Possession of either a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree or a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of Arizona and maintenance of good standing.
- At least 2 years of experience practicing immigration law.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex immigration cases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
