The Azure Cloud Engineer II is responsible for supporting iT1 Customers in our 24x7x365 Managed Services Division. Provides assistance with support, incident management, problem management and change management for cloud resources monitored by iT1 Managed Services. Will administer, monitor, and provide maintenance to cloud-based systems, to include O365 and/or Azure. You will ensure that our systems are available, secure, and have documented and supported policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Maintain the highest level of operational standards for cloud technologies while executing best practices in operations and ongoing maintenance.
- Respond to escalated tickets from the Service Desk that require Infrastructure support and follow appropriate ticketing procedures.
- Maintain plans and procedures for administration of the cloud based and on-prem systems.
- Maintain and assist with incidents related to AVD, server, storage, azure backups and site recovery, networking, etc.
- Assist in management and deployment of end user and server patches and updates, including research of operational effects of the same prior to deployment
- Assist with cloud security needs as requested by security team.
- Assist with the documentation of all system processes and procedures to ensure standardization, and best security practices.
- Assist with the build and maintenance of servers in the cloud environment.
- Has a strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, emerging trends, and related technologies
- Assist with cloud governance and FinOps related tasks, recommendations, and reporting
Job Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field required; or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years’ experience as an Azure cloud administrator
- Demonstrated knowledge of O365 security tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of Azure operations and technologies
- Knowledge of IT operations and basic methodologies
- Experience documenting environments, process, standards
- Ability to assess existing architectures and situations and make recommendations
- Strong ability to cultivate relationships with clients to develop and share understanding of technology solutions
- Presentation and articulation of technical content aligning to audience
- Ability to take projects and execute deliverables with limited support
- Appropriate certifications in Azure and associated Microsoft technologies
Preferred Certification:
- Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Designing and Implementing Azure Networking (AZ-700)
- FinOps Certified Practitioner
Job Location:
- Remote
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm AZ
