Summary
The CAD Detailer will be responsible for the layout, dimensioning, elevation, and coordination of process piping systems using CAD technology to create detailed drawings while ensuring compliance with relevant codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and detail CAD drawings for field use, fabrication, and installation of piping systems and related components.
- Coordinate piping systems with other trades and the general contractor to ensure smooth installation.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and general contractors to streamline the pipe detailing process.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, and foremen to provide necessary information for construction.
- Maintain up-to-date records, including RFIs (Request for Information), field sketches, drawing indices, and other relevant documentation.
- Update drawings in response to contract revisions, change orders, or project additions.
- Maintain accurate as-built drawings for submittal at project completion.
- Archive all drawings and documentation upon project completion.
- Stay current with the latest CAD technology and industry practices to remain competitive.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of process piping systems and applicable codes, preferably in semiconductor or biopharmaceuticals.
- Experience working with architects, engineers, and contractors in a construction environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to various project stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Understanding of construction documentation and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Able to travel as needed.

Pay: $95,000 - $120,000 per year
