Electrical Controls Engineer - Exciting Opportunity in the Chemical Industry!

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain automation and control systems for the plant site, encompassing electrical, PLC, DCS, pneumatic circuits, networking, and all other components related to automated chemical processes.
- Ensure that control systems meet regulatory requirements, such as SIL/LOPA assessments.
- Create and maintain instrument and electrical drawings for control systems, including motor elementaries and instrument loop sheets.
- Assist the maintenance team with assigned work, breakdowns, and emergency work orders.
- Maintain PLC documentation, including records from equipment suppliers and an archive of PLC programs and machine controls drawings.
- Provide training and mentorship to technicians and technical staff members on control system strategies and installations.
- Collaborate in the development and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure, both internally and with external vendors.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with 3+ years of experience in Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation within chemical manufacturing plants.
- Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley and Rockwell Automation Controls.
- Knowledge of IT and OT network communication protocols.
- Understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits in ICS (Industrial Control Systems) environments, along with appropriate mitigation techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for ICS environments.
- Working knowledge of PSM (Process Safety Management) and DHS (Department of Homeland Security) regulatory requirements.
- Must have the ability to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
