Full Job Description
Sigma Defense is seeking a Senior Network Engineer who will be responsible for the MQ-25 and Unmanned Carrier Aviation (UCA) Mission Control System (UMCS) programs of record (POR) which are managed by the UCA Program Office (PMA-268) with the responsibility to coordinate all System-of-Systems (SoS) development and integration.
The MQ-25A is designed as an unmanned carrier launched air vehicle with a primary mission of providing air to air refueling of other carrier launched aircraft and a secondary mission of supplying intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data to ship and shore sites.
The Senior Network Engineer should be self-directed and highly motivated individual to join our team and help engage in converging all voice, video, data communications between ship and shore.

Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in DoD or other Government Unclassified and Classified Systems/Networks, Cisco Routing and Switching, Network Engineering, Network Testing, and Implementation planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to ensure optimum productivity.
- Ability to work with Network related hardware and software.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions.
- Ability to conduct testing and regression testing on Government facilities.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite Products, and PC hardware architecture.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, with managers, supervisor, peers, and customers.
- Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and to take initiative.
- Ability to quickly grasp and implement technical concepts.
- Network Engineering experience with ADNS, CANES, and/or CaaS preferred.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must have the ability to possess or obtain an active, DoD issued Secret security clearance.
- A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field of study.
Mandatory Certifications:
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II - Security+ (or equivalent)
- CCNA
Software/Programs:
- An understanding of the use and configuration of encryption devices. (KG-175D, KG-175F, KG-175GM)
- At least two (2) years of experience with Cisco configuration of OSPF and static routing, mGRE Tunnel, QOS, DHCP, ACLs, IPSec. (as implemented with HAIPE devices)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite Products, and PC hardware architecture.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
- Participate in numerous Network integration and testing support events within Government test facilities in support of system interoperability.
- Load configurations for and troubleshoot routers, switches, Inline Network Encryptors (INEs), firewalls, and other network devices.
- Develop and maintain documentation in support of test planning, execution, and reporting.
- Perform technical document reviews and participate in technical working groups.
- Generate test traffic with Spirent traffic generators.
- Perform Wireshark traffic analysis.
- Liaison with local lab managers and system administrators on the test & evaluation of the end-to-end network.
- Ability to work well with other Engineering focus groups and personnel ranging from Junior to Chief Network, Systems, or Cyber Engineers.
- Understand and troubleshoot:
- OSPF adjacencies
- Multicast (PIM, SSM, SDD)
- IGMPv3
- Marking and shaping of QoS
Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,00 annually.
