Full Job Description

We’re seeking a full-time Accountant who will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting various accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a range of accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, and will collaborate with different departments (including senior management) to support the company’s growth and financial health.

Responsibilities

  • Support an accurate and timely month end close process and preparation of financial statements (IS, BS & CFS).
  • Perform general ledger accounting entries and reconciliations, including assistance with accruals.
  • Work with accounts receivable and accounts payable departments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Assist with daily cash activities, including bank deposits, transfers, reconciliations, and online payments.
  • Review Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring accurate GL account assignment and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with inventory and cost accounting, maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, costs, and variances to ensure proper financial reporting.
  • Manage and process payroll entries with 3rd party payroll company.
  • Coordinate with service providers to support tax filing and compliance.
  • Assist in annual audit preparation and liaise with external auditors, as needed.
  • Contribute to the improvement of departmental processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of general accounting experience with exposure to international operations and foreign currency transactions.
  • Experience in inventory or cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or retail environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with SAP ByDesign or similar global ERP system (Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and desire to solve problems.
  • Demonstrable desire to learn and generate quality work.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments

The salary range for this role is $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.

This role is expected to work from Ember’s Westlake Village, CA office on a hybrid schedule (Tues-Thurs onsite).
