Job Overview
PlanetArt is looking for an Accountant/Accounting Coordinator to support the company’s Finance Department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in handling bank reconciliations, managing invoices, and dealing with multiple currencies. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of financial principles.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be local to or willing to relocate to the Pleasanton, CA area as we operate on a hybrid work model (3 days onsite, 2 remote)
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Manage incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring timely payments and maintaining up-to-date records.
- Prepare bank deposits and apply payments.
- Handle transactions in multiple currencies, including conversions and reconciliations, with a keen eye for exchange rate fluctuations.
- Code and enter transactions in appropriate accounting systems/databases.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations (including audits).
Requirements
What You Should Have
Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3 – 6 years of experience preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting or a similar role, with a focus on bank reconciliations and invoice management.
- Strong understanding of accounting software and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions
- This is a hybrid position; employees are expected to be in the office three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) with the option of working remotely two days (Wednesday and Friday).
- Work is performed in an office environment with low to moderate noise levels.
- Position requires regular, continuous use of computer.
- Position requires regular interaction with team members through the following methods: in-person, phone, WebEx, Slack, or email.
Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $69,000 - $79,000 annual salary.
