Position Overview: 

We seek an organized and proactive Accounting Coordinator to support our Director of Finance in managing day-to-day accounting tasks. This role will oversee the accounting department, ensure timely task completion, and foster a supportive environment for the team. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Review and manage accounting operations to ensure all team members meet their deadlines. 
  • Address issues such as overdue bills and ensure accurate data entry into our systems. 
  • Proactively coordinate with team members to address any outstanding tasks. 
  • Monitor task completion and support team members in their roles. 
  • Ensure property tax and income tax payments are processed on time. 
  • Compile monthly financial reports for review. 
  • Assist in closing the books and preparing reports. 
  • Conduct annual reconciliation processes for common areas and services.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage time effectively. 
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively. 
  • Able to perform lease abstracting.
  • Enjoys working with both numbers and people.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years in a similar accounting role, with a preference for experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounts receivable management. 
  • A degree in accounting or finance is preferred.  
  • Insurance certification preferred.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, AppFolio, and other accounting software.
