Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the overall success of the Accounts Payable process at BBHH. The person in this position serves as an immediate resource to the CFO within the AP function. A critical function of this position is to review and process all documents pertaining to the accounts payable process for the hospital.

You should have a current CPR certification when you apply or obtain certification prior to your start date.

Additionally, you'll complete a "Handle-With-Care" Physical Restraint Technique Training during your orientation.

This position operates Monday-Friday during normal business hours.

Ideally, someone with at least 6 months of experience in AP/AR in a healthcare setting will apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verifies accuracy of invoices from vendors and chargeable departments
• Confers with vendors to reconcile differences, write up discrepancies and forwards to appropriate facility as appropriate
• Posts accounts payable checks, verifies checks for accuracy and ensures accurate balances
• Prepares checks for signing
• Prepares and verifies accuracy of related reports and statements
• Participates in activities that enhance professional growth and development
• Performs related duties as requested
• Upholds the organization's ethics and customer services standards

This position pays between $21.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience.
