Full Job Description
As a Faculty Member in the Audio Production program, you will provide high-quality instruction to students in an online and in-person environment, guiding them through comprehensive audio production techniques. You will mentor students, help them apply their skills practically, and nurture their growth both professionally and spiritually.
Compensation Range: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
Hours: Up to 10 hours
Requirements
- Course Instruction:
Teach and lead courses in audio production, focusing on recording, mixing, mastering, and proficiency in digital audio workstations (DAWs). - Curriculum Development:
Design, update, and improve course materials to ensure they align with current industry trends and educational best practices. - Mentorship and Student Support:
Provide academic guidance and career advice to students, fostering their professional and spiritual development. Engage with students during office hours and through online platforms. - Evaluate Student Progress:
Assess student work through assignments, projects, and exams, giving constructive feedback to promote academic and technical mastery. - Collaborate with Faculty and Staff:
Work closely with other faculty members and the program manager to enhance the curriculum and teaching methods for the Audio Production program. - Industry Engagement:
Stay connected to industry developments, integrate new technologies and practices into the coursework, and foster relationships with industry professionals for guest lectures or internship opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience in audio production, including hands-on proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and recording equipment.
- Proven success in the music or entertainment industry, with a deep understanding of contemporary audio production techniques.
- Previous experience teaching in higher education or providing mentorship in a professional environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse students and faculty.
- Commitment to the mission of Bethel College, integrating spiritual formation with professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
