Full Job Description

Are you a patient and compassionate individual who loves working with children? We are seeking an enthusiastic Art Therapist to join our team, providing therapeutic art sessions to small groups of children aged 5-17. Our groups are divided by age and abilities, and we welcome individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate therapeutic art sessions for small groups of children aged 5-17, divided by age and abilities.
  • Create engaging and age-appropriate art activities to promote self-expression, emotional exploration, and personal growth.
  • Adapt sessions to accommodate children with behavioral challenges and those who are non-verbal.
  • Provide a supportive and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves through art.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the success of each group session.



Location: Woodland Hills



Schedule:
 Afternoon and weekend sessions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Art Therapy or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a therapeutic or educational setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
  • Availability to work in the afternoon and on weekends.
  • Ability to work with children with behavioral challenges and those who are non-verbal.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and therapeutic art activities for children of varying ages and abilities.
