Cuesta Construction is looking for a full-time Assistant Superintendent to join our team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Assistant Superintendent, you will work closely with the Superintendent and project management team to ensure the successful completion of construction projects. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Superintendent in overseeing all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor project progress and quality control to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any safety hazards or compliance issues.
- Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement strategies for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to construction crews and subcontractors to ensure productivity and quality workmanship.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
- Assist in resolving any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
This is a full-time position on job sites, Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be required.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
- Must have 3-5 years of experience in construction supervision or management.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to get to remote construction sites.
- Be able to commute 20 – 40 miles.
- Must be able to legally work in the United States.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Ability to work well independently and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Will be required to stand for long periods of time.
