Amprius develops, designs, and manufactures very high-performance lithium-ion cells for advanced applications. Amprius invented and perfected a 100% silicon anode that enables the highest energy density cell commercially available in the industry.
Summary
The Battery Test Technician will perform tasks in conditioning and testing Amprius Technologies’ proprietary silicon anode Li-Ion cells. This is a TEMP role with an opportunity to be converted to Regular Hire with Benefits.
Job Duties
- Use small equipment such as pneumatic cutter and electric drill
- Operate large equipment such as degas machine and formation machine
- Perform PC Board soldering according to required work instructions and specifications
- Measure cells with mass scale, digital multi-meter, and caliper
- Visually evaluate defects from a list of standard defects
- Input data into quality management software
- Load cells into test fixtures, set-up and execute electrical cell tests.
- Assemble battery packs
- Prepare cells for shipment
Requirements
- Understand basic electrical connections and testing software
- Ability to solder electrical connections
- Proficient with hand tools and production equipment
- Follow standard work instructions and recommend improvements
- Basic computer skills and ability to enter data accurately
- Responsible for the quality of tasks performed
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Must be a Team player
Experience and Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an equipment operator or technician in one of the following industries: Semiconductor, solar, battery, electronics, or automotive.
Physical Demands & Work Location:
- Fremont, CA: This is an on-site job. Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.
- Adhere to company’s quality and safety requirements.
- Be able to lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds.
- May be required to stand, sit, squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach, lift, balance, push, and pull.
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, respirator and safety shoes.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
