Bethel Designer

We are looking for a kingdom-minded, creative, and talented Designer to help expand Bethel’s digital and creative footprint, brand awareness, and global impact through the gift of design!

The Designer works closely with the Design Lead and Senior Designers under the covering of the Creative & Story Director and Manager. The Designer will be responsible for creating visual assets for church services, events, staff, ministries, projects, and other marketing campaigns. He or she must be able to take creative vision and ideas from leadership and effectively produce digital, web, print, and social media promotional materials. He or she will be responsible for taking assigned tasks and creatively executing design work for use on multiple platforms.

This role will collaborate with several creative teams on various projects that serve Bethel and its many ministries. They will report to our Lead Designer and help the Senior Designers in the creation of assets for projects. There is also routine collaboration with the Social Media Manager for social media assets, and the rest of the Story Team who are responsible for exporting the heart and message of our church. The Designer should be a passionate visual storyteller, an excellent communicator, and a creative thinker, with an ability to execute the vision of Bethel Church with creativity! We are looking for someone who is hungry and humble, detail-oriented, and comes as much alive when checking off their to-do list or developing a brand.

Salary Range : $52,000 to 54,080 per year

Hours: 30+ hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Bethel Creative Team with producing graphic design assets and materials
• Properly interpreting creative vision and style guides to execute design assets
• Present designs to the Design Lead or Senior Designer for feedback and direction
• Be able to conceptualize and develop brands or projects
• Incorporate changes recommended by the Design Lead or Senior Designer or Stakeholders into the final design
• Review designs for errors before delivering them
• Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
• Think creatively and competent in developing new design concepts, graphics and layouts
• Work as part of the Design team that collaborates with copywriters, videographers and marketers
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to successfully juggle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
• Respect brand consistency throughout Bethel’s owned, earned and paid media platforms as well as projects

Requirements

• Believes and adheres to the beliefs of and vision of Bethel Church
• Good grasp of graphic design skills
• Good experience with Adobe programs
• Proficient in various graphics file formats
• Strong understanding of design principles and visual aesthetics
• Enjoys a sense of fun and creativity
• Openness to learn, develop new skills, and adapt as needed
• Ability to follow creative direction from the Creative Director & Design Lead and assist with project deliverables
• Receptive to feedback from leadership for personal growth
• Highly organized and efficient

Recommended:

• 2+ years in graphic design, web design experience a bonus
• Past experience working in creative field
• Social Media and Marketing exposure preferred
