Civil Design Engineers

We are hiring on behalf of one of our key clients, a General Civil & Land Surveying firm based in Orange, CA, for experienced Civil Designers/Design Engineers. This role focuses on working on Land Development and Public Works projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D to design grading, drainage, paving, sewer, water, and storm drain systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing hydrology and hydraulic calculations and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).

This role in Orange, California, USA. you will collaborate closely with project managers to ensure timelines are met, create detailed diagrams, and prepare precise design specifications.

Requirements

Civil Design Engineer, Responsibilities:

• Design various civil engineering components including grading, drainage, sewer, water, paving, and storm drains using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare hydrological and hydraulic reports and calculations.
• Create stormwater pollution prevention plans and related documentation such as LID/WQMP reports.
• Collaborate with project managers to define timelines, design scope, and execution plans.
• Develop visual aids, diagrams, and specifications for project execution.
• Deliver projects within established guidelines and criteria

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience, primarily in Land Development and Public Works.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D (minimum of 3 years of experience).
• Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, grading, and stormwater design.
• Ability to work closely with project teams and communicate design specifications effectively.

Preferred requirements:

• Professional registration in engineering is a plus but not required.
