CLS Microbiologist

Day Shift

Royalty Medical Solutions is seeking a dedicated CLS Microbiologist to join our client's team at a leading clinical laboratory. In this role, you will be responsible for performing microbiological tests and analyses that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of infections. The CLS Microbiologist plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of test results, maintaining high laboratory standards, and helping to improve patient outcomes through effective microbiological services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Conduct a variety of microbiological tests including cultures, sensitivities, and molecular diagnostics.

- Isolate and identify microorganisms from clinical specimens.

- Perform quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with laboratory standards and regulations.

- Analyze test results and communicate findings to healthcare professionals.

- Maintain records of tests performed and ensure data integrity.

- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to maintain laboratory equipment and contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures.

- Participate in training and mentoring of junior staff and laboratory assistants.

- Stay current with advancements in microbiology and laboratory practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license from a recognized certifying agency.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a microbiology-focused clinical laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, quality control, and safety practices.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
