Do you enjoy creating content about cars just as much as driving them? Do you detest a media career full of bland corporate interviews? Wish your work focused on awesome cars and motorsports-related gigs? We’re offering the opportunity to combine your artistic and automotive passions by using your creative talent at Apex Wheels!
We’re collecting resumes and portfolios for Videographers, Photographers, Video Editors, Production Assistants, and other like-minded Creatives to perform work on a contract-basis for Apex Wheels. These gigs will take place in our Pleasanton office and various locations around the Bay Area. Projects may include but are not limited to creating social video content, educational content, event photography, prototype imagery, product photography - all the content you see across our channels as well as exciting new initiatives!
For contractors who are interested and have a solid team fit, there is the potential for contract work to become an on-staff (W2) position of employment with Apex, including the ability to participate in our full benefits offering.
Please respond to the following prompt when you submit your resume and portfolio: Help us understand how you’d like to use your creative talents to support Apex’s mission. Tell us about your strengths and skills as a creative and the type of work you see yourself doing (photography, videography, a combination, something else etc.). Requirements
Contractor Requirements
- Must be a huge car nerd and motorsports enthusiast who understands what our customers want to see. Alternatively, you may also be a creative professional who has worked in the motorsports industry and has a strong understanding of our customer base.
- You must have prior professional/commercial experience providing your services to other individuals/companies on a contract basis.
- We’ll give strong preference to contractors who carry their own liability insurance.
- Be fluent in the fundamentals and technical acumen needed to succeed in your creative area of expertise.
- Be able to produce both artistic and technical interpretations of the same concept.
- Great at being mobile and can produce consistent results in any given location with various lighting conditions.
- Be streamlined with your organizational workflow -- able to successfully manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Must be familiar with the safe and proper procedures for lifting a car and removing or installing wheels in the rare case you have to lend a hand.
