Role Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Coordinator of Product Development to support our team at OUAI. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth execution of product development tasks. This role will be reporting to the - Sr. Director, Product Development.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

  • Log, track, and organize formula submissions from Contract Manufacturers as they are delivered to OUAI HQ. 
  • Maintain and organize the Product Development storage room, and assist the Office Manager with incoming packages and supplies. 
  • Distribute formula samples to internal and external testers for thorough evaluation. 
  • Collaborate with the Associate Manager, Sr. Director of Product Development, and Marketing to explore new product concepts and benchmarks. 
  • Assist in creating and managing product briefs to finalize concepts, research product feasibility, and define development parameters. 
  • Maintain current processes and help enforce new ones as they are developed and implemented (e.g., testing protocols, artwork tracking, master product trackers). 
  • Ensure close cross-functional communication with Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams to share relevant information efficiently. 
  • Attend meetings with vendors and internal teams, take detailed notes, and circulate recaps. 
  • Research new ingredients, textures, products, and packaging to drive innovation. 
  • Analyze the competitive landscape, including ratings, reviews, social media commentary, and coordinate with Brand Management for sales insights. 
  • Participate in "Blue Sky" brainstorming sessions. 
  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure product launches remain on schedule and timelines are accurate. 
  • Support the Product Development team in providing information to the PR & Communications team about formulas, ingredients, and efficacy. 
  • Monitor and ensure on-time delivery of critical project milestones. 
  • Organize and maintain all lab samples and master standards. 
  • Create and manage spreadsheets and checklists to track projects and key product information. 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 1+ years of experience in Product Development in cosmetics, personal care, lifestyle, or a related category (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

  • Passion for beauty, with an open mind and a strong curiosity to learn.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • This role is hybrid and requires being in the office 3–4 days a week at our OUAI HQ in Los Angeles.
