Data Scientist

Develop and implement advanced algorithms and analytical models for medical image analysis, registration, segmentation, and classification. After transforming raw patient data extracted from large datasets into meaningful information, design, analyze, and validate image markers to improve intraoperative informatics. Duties include:

1. Develop and improve data analysis technologies of medical images to stitched images from Cone beam X-Ray/Fluoroscopic with Python and C++;
2. Develop 2D segmentation from medical images using techniques, such as deep learning, machine, learning, CNN, etc.;
3. Develop testing methods to aid in the development of as well as to quantify the accuracy of 3D data models;
4. Partner with marketing and development teams to drive the use of medical image processing, statistical learning, and data science across the Alpha Informatix product line;
5. Develop, analyze, validate, and deliver data algorithms and statistical models;
6. Use machine learning and statistical skills to analyze large datasets, using Matlab to extract actionable insights that inform: data model development, experimental design, and clinical or business decisions;
7. Design and build complex predictive models to address clinical and business questions:
8. Develop methods to leverage, extract, process, and analyze complex, high-volume, and high-dimensional datasets from both internal and external sources;
9. Design experiments, perform A/B testing, and evaluate the quality of derived assets as well as develop dashboards to continuously monitor and report on model performance;
10. Create dynamic data reports concerning the status of development, data quality, and risks for senior management.

Requirements

A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline followed by 2 years of experience in a data scientist-related occupation.

Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:

1)      2 years of experience implementing machine learning algorithms and image processing solutions;

2)      2 years of development experience in Python;

3)      2 years of development experience in C++;

4)      2 years of experience in Image Processing;

5)      2 years of experience in cloud computing with AWS or Azure;

6)      2 years of experience in statistical learning;

7)      2 years of experience developing Convolution Neural Networks.
