Region: West Region (Seattle, San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Phoenix); Regional travel required across West Region chapters; occasional evening or weekend work
Salary: $55,000 - 67,000

The Role
Pratham USA is seeking a dedicated Development Associate to support fundraising efforts in the West Region, which includes the Seattle, San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Phoenix chapters. In this role, you’ll assist with managing donor data, coordinating events, engaging donors, and providing administrative support. This position is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment. You’ll collaborate closely with volunteers, the development team, and chapter board members.
Impact Areas
- Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM data, run reports, and provide insights to support fundraising and strategic planning in the West Region.
- Donor Engagement & Stewardship: Research and prepare materials for prospective and existing donors. Help manage donor communications and pledges to ensure strong ongoing relationships.
- Chapter Program Support & Volunteer Coordination: Serve as the liaison for chapter programs (like the Readathon, Young Professionals, and University chapters), working closely with volunteers to drive these initiatives.
- Event Planning & Execution: Support the planning and coordination of regional events. You’ll collaborate with the national events team and local development managers to ensure successful events.
- Administrative Support & Special Projects: Assist with scheduling, note-taking, and other administrative tasks for the development team. Lead or participate in special projects and fundraising campaigns as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or a related field.
- Prior experience in nonprofit fundraising or development is preferred.
- Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel regionally and work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
