Role Overview:
We are in search of an experienced and dynamic Director of Human Resources reporting to our Chief People Officer while leading a team of four. The Director will ensure alignment with Infinite Reality’s organizational objectives and foster a culture of inclusivity and excellence within the Thunder Studios location onsite at the Long Beach, CA, studio 2-3 times/week. In this role you will be responsible for aligning HR strategies with business objectives, providing leadership, guidance and serving as a consultant on various HR related issues to ensure a high-performing workforce across the organization. This person will play a critical role in enabling the people who will drive Infinite Reality’s continued scaling and growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in the development and execution of HR strategies, policies, and programs that drive a high-performing, highly engaged culture
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on human resources matters to support business objectives
- Lead and mentor a team of four developing and delivering efficient, scaled HR operations, and improved practices
- Partner with the CPO and People team to support Thunder Studios employees onsite from an HR perspective with extensive knowledge of CA employment laws
- Engage with business leaders to build and execute scalable people programs and processes including leadership/employee development, succession planning, performance management, training and development, diversity and inclusion, culture & well-being and team building.
- Partner cross-functionally on areas such as HRIS data & systems, employment laws & compliance, metrics & reporting, workers compensation, offboarding, benefits & compensation, recruiting & hiring, and more.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA requirements
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment through effective employee relations, initiatives and conflict resolution strategies to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Conduct thorough investigations for all workplace complaints and provide reporting to People Leadership team
- Provide employee and manager training on a variety of topics as needed
Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role, in a fast-paced environment, SaaS or technology preferred
- Public company experience required
- Master’s degree or SHRM-CP a plus
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. and California employment/labor laws and regulations
- Able to manage conflict and exercise judgment and discretion in difficult situations
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into HR initiatives
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities
- Must be able to work onsite at Long Beach, California Thunder Studios location 2-3 times per week

The base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000. The base salary range is applicable across the United States and the offered rate may vary based on factors such as experience, education, market conditions, and location.
