We are hiring an Engineering Manager in the Pleasanton office!
BKF Engineers is looking for Engineering Managers with strong technical abilities and experience in land development design projects. We are looking for individuals who can independently apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using their experience and judgment. Good communication skills. Ability to plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate all technical work for small to major projects. Assist Project Managers in preparing current project status for informing clients on progress and internal reporting. Lead the plan preparation and design process. Supervise/coordinate and mentor the team of engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments. Lead the quality control effort on your projects. AutoCAD and Civil 3D mastery is required. Projects include residential, commercial, mixed-use, and public works projects. A successful BKF Engineering Manager will combine the necessary management skills for controlling their projects and Team, with strong technical knowledge of their market segment. Responsibilities:
- Project Management Assistance: Budgeting, Schedules, Client Care, Invoicing
- Design Team Management, collaboration, and scheduling
- Entitlement Application and Processing
- Roadway/Streets final design package – Plan, Profile, Cross Sections
- Roadway Design: Streetscape, Green Streets, Bicycle Path Plans
- Federal, State, City, and County Standards
- Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies, preparation of specifications and cost estimates
- Quality Control for Project Deliverables
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in site development, design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, and roadways.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required.
- Professional Engineering license in the State of California is required.
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D mastery is required.

Pay:
- The typical base salary range for this position is $138,500 - $156,000 annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is a salaried position paid biweekly.
