What We're Looking For: Event Security
In this role, you will collaborate with our dedicated security team to maintain a secure event environment, handle any incidents or issues that may arise, and provide excellent customer service to attendees. We are looking for individuals who are attentive, proactive, and have a passion for ensuring the safety of others.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to properly screen guests during entry via bag searching, hand wand or metal detector, and various walkthrough metal detection technologies.
- Be able to perform an ID verification as needed.
- Perform access control, crowd management, and surveillance during events
- Monitor for and respond to any security threats, disturbances, or safety issues
- Interact professionally and courteously with event attendees, staff, and performers
- Demonstrate and Enforce event policies and procedures, rules, and regulations
- Assist with emergency response procedures and provide first aid, if necessary
- Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and event organizers to maintain a safe event environment
- Completing and submitting incident reports as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in event security or a similar role is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required
- Knowledge of crowd management techniques
- Valid CA Guard Card License issued by Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS)
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High level of professionalism and integrity
