Full Job Description
We are seeking committed and passionate Expanded Learning Program Instructors to lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our East Bay Expanded Learning Programs. As a Program Instructor you will lead and mentor up to 20 youth in an afterschool setting. Benefits:
- Pay rate: $21 per hour DOE
- 22 hours per week
- 16 Paid BACR holidays- those that work 20 hours or more are eligible for paid BACR holidays during the school year
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, afternoons until 6 p.m.; Off holidays, summers, and weekends

Minimum Requirements:
- Associate Degree or higher, or 48 or more college units, or pass the Instructional Aide exam (High School Diploma or GED required)
- Must pass criminal background check and TB test clearance
- Available Monday through Friday 22 hours per week, M-TH 2pm until 6 pm, F 1pm - 6pm
- Ability to reliably commute to San Pablo
- Commitment to social justice and leadership
- Passionate about learning and youth development: K-6
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Preferred:
- Commitment to a full school year, able to practice open, clear and consistent communication, commitment to participate in professional development
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain a safe and emotionally supportive environment
- Execute lesson plans that support school day learning
- Collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)
