We have a current opening for a Field Engineer for Airfield and Underground projects in Oakland, CA and the Bay Area.
Success in this position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:
- Assist with purchasing, project document control, Material Take Offs, quotes
- Assistance with delivery receiving, scheduling, and inventory management, maintain organization with use of Forklift
- Back up for Dispatching of skilled labor from local union halls and ensuring requests comply with project specifications; laborers, operators, etc.
- Responsible for new hire processing; badging, pre-employment drug screen scheduling, new hire orientation and training, providing PPE, documentation, etc.
- Maintain record/documentation as required for dispatching, hiring, etc.
- Daily timecards, badging set up and scheduling
- Regular and timely communication with GC; daily dispatch, daily reports, etc.
- Maintain PPE and other supplies as needed
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in administrative support role, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in admin/field support role within construction a plus
- Strong organization, attention to detail, good judgement, and communication skills
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and assignments simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and responsibly handle sensitive materials/information
Special Considerations:
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish a plus
- Previous knowledge/experience of driving forklift
- Must be eligible to be badged at airport
- Must be eligible to operate company vehicles
Salary Range:
- $25.00/hour - $30.00/hour
- This is a non-exempt position
