Full Job Description
This Coordinator serves the Orange County, CA area as the main point of contact and liaison between schools, International Customer Service teams, host families, Support Staff and students. This role is responsible for managing students and
host families throughout the program life cycle, and ensure proper host family supply for each school. While this role does have some work that can be performed remotely, there are in person requirements and local travel will be necessary (sometimes with limited notice).
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as the liaison for schools, host families, support staff, students, and company’s partner agencies
· Communicate effectively with related parties on any student-related issue or potential issue and troubleshoot accordingly until issue is resolved
· Re-assign and coordinate homestay accommodation changes for students as needed
· Train and reinforce Host Families and Students on expectations and policies to ensure safety of students.
· Facilitate the host family vetting and re-vetting process and assist with company vetting staff as needed with obtaining necessary documents to ensure host family compliance
· Ensure a surplus of qualified Host Families in assigned Area that meets student placement needs
· Assist in homestay recruitment initiatives, including but not limited to; seeking referrals from school, community, existing homestays and by maximizing school communication networks
· Maintain documentation for students related to travel, incidents, in person meetings, etc.
· Review quarterly results of student and host family surveys and follow up as needed
· Enter monthly Stipends to Company
· Foresee and plan for the needs of each school, student or host family based on the communication reports and Company data reports
· Ensure all relevant documentation related to duties are updated and saved to company database(s)
· Conduct in-person student and host family orientations, onsite visits, and onboarding of new schools (documentation required)
· Conduct in-person student visits within one month of arrival for new students, and as needed for all others (documentation required)
· Conduct Virtual Orientations/Virtual Onsites and create associated documentation
· Communicate monthly with every host family and ensure 100% completion rate of monthly reports
· Communicate monthly with every student, including 100% completion of monthly video reports
· Monitor, track, and share monthly reports with stakeholders
· Review every Host Family report after completion; follow up on any potential issues reported and/ or in student video reports
· Handle student emergencies (these may occur at any time, after regular business hours) and notify all relevant parties.
Other duties or projects assigned by the supervisor or Company
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Management, Education, Psychology, Counseling or related area
3-5 years experience working in education, social services, account management, guidance counselor or related experience
Experience working with international students is a plus

Mandarin and/or Portuguese speaking a plus
