fs3|Hodges is seeking highly organized and detail-oriented Inspectors of Record for statewide projects. As a full-service project and construction management firm, our goal is to deliver quality projects for our clients. The Inspector of Record plays a crucial role in ensuring that each project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
The Inspector of Record will be responsible for conducting inspections at various stages of the construction process, closely monitoring the work being performed, and ensuring that it adheres to the approved plans, specifications, and codes.
Please specify particular regions of interest. We have both short- and long-term assignments available.

Responsibilities
- Conduct QA/QC inspections at various stages of the construction process to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.
- Review and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications to verify that they accurately represent the project requirements.
- Document and report any discrepancies, deficiencies, or non-compliance issues identified during inspections.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to address and resolve any construction-related issues.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and verify construction methods.
- Evaluate the performance of subcontractors and recommend necessary actions to maintain or improve quality standards.
- Conduct final inspections and prepare comprehensive reports to certify the completion of projects.
- Schedule and oversee special inspections.
- Prepare daily construction/inspection reports.
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Inspector of Record or similar role in the construction industry.
- Thorough knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address potential construction issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
