Company Overview: Welcome to our innovative semiconductor company, where we are committed to pushing the boundaries of technology through cutting-edge integrated circuit (IC) designs. We specialize in developing advanced ICs for a diverse range of applications, including telecommunications, automotive, consumer electronics, and industrial automation. Join our dynamic team of engineers and be part of shaping the future of technology with groundbreaking IC designs.
Position Overview: As an Integrated Circuit Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design and development of high-performance integrated circuits to meet the demands of next-generation electronic devices. Leveraging your expertise in IC design methodologies and semiconductor technologies, you'll design, simulate, and verify complex digital and analog circuits, ensuring adherence to performance, power, and area specifications. If you're passionate about innovation and making a meaningful impact in the semiconductor industry, we want you on our team.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Circuit Design: Design and implement digital and analog circuits, including logic gates, flip-flops, amplifiers, filters, and data converters, using industry-standard design methodologies and tools.
- RTL Coding: Write and debug Register-Transfer Level (RTL) code in hardware description languages (HDLs) such as Verilog or VHDL for digital circuit design, ensuring compliance with design specifications and performance goals.
- Analog Design: Design and simulate analog circuits, including operational amplifiers, voltage regulators, oscillators, and phase-locked loops (PLLs), using simulation tools such as Cadence Virtuoso or Synopsys HSPICE.
- Mixed-Signal Design: Integrate digital and analog circuits into mixed-signal IC designs, ensuring compatibility and performance optimization across different domains.
- Simulation and Verification: Perform functional and timing simulations of digital circuits using simulation tools such as Cadence Incisive or Synopsys VCS, and verify circuit functionality, timing constraints, and power consumption.
- Physical Design Support: Collaborate with physical design engineers to provide floorplanning, placement, and routing constraints, and guide physical implementation to achieve timing closure, signal integrity, and area targets.
- Power Analysis: Analyze and optimize circuit performance for power consumption, employing techniques such as power gating, clock gating, and voltage scaling to minimize power consumption and meet power budget requirements.
- Design Optimization: Iterate on design implementations to optimize performance metrics such as speed, area, and power, leveraging design automation tools and techniques for design exploration and optimization.
- Verification and Validation: Develop and execute testbenches and test vectors for design verification, including functional simulation, code coverage analysis, and formal verification, to ensure design correctness and completeness.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including design specifications, design reviews, and verification reports, ensuring clarity and completeness of design information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in integrated circuit design, preferably in a semiconductor or integrated circuit design company.
- Proficiency in IC design methodologies and tools, including RTL coding, analog design, simulation, and verification.
- Hands-on experience with IC design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Design Compiler, or Mentor Graphics ModelSim.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, CMOS technology, and IC fabrication processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex design issues and propose innovative solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Benefits
- Competitive salary: The industry standard salary for Integrated Circuit Design Engineers typically ranges from $80,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
- Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options and flexible hours.
- Generous vacation and paid time off.
- Professional development opportunities, including access to training programs, conferences, and workshops.
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a talented team of engineers.
