Full Job Description
The Pixelogic Internship is a paid position at $18/hr that provides comprehensive training to interns in various production topics. The training includes script reviews and research, organizing staff events and employee engagement initiatives, assessing and presenting data on production demands, and assisting in developing operational initiatives for several lines of production. During this twelve-week internship program, the interns will receive training, learn new skills, and apply their knowledge. Each intern will be assigned a direct manager and a mentor resource to help them develop and understand. The intern must achieve or exceed the set objectives weekly, which a direct manager will evaluate during regular 1:1 meetings. The work for interns is hands-on, and the skills acquired in this role are transferable to any entry-level support role.
During the twelve weeks of training, interns will gain an introduction to production across editorial and operational lines of business. The curriculum incorporates planned learning experiences through the Pixelogic LMS, in-person coaching, and practical application.
Responsibilities:
- Researching production scripts to aid in notating annotations for editors and translators.
- Research and presentation of metrics across various production teams which details previous and incoming production demands.
- Assisting the Management team with operational initiatives to streamline business between the Burbank, London, Cape Town, and Cairo teams.
- Assist in the development of an employee engagement program, including planning culture committee events for staff.
Requirements
• Degree from an accredited College or University and must be able to provide a copy of school transcripts upon request.
• A college degree in Film Production, Screen Writing, or Linguistics is a plus.
• Must commit to 12 weeks of work in a full-time work schedule.
• Must be able to work onsite in Burbank, CA - this is not a remote position.
• Must have reliable transportation to report to work on time.
• Technically literate and comfortable with a variety of computer applications.
• Have experience and familiarity with Mac and Windows operating systems.
• Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must be a self-starter, quick learner, inquisitive, and have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
