We are currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. The selected candidate will report to the Senior Finance Operations Analyst and will support the accounting department by assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping for the company and its sister concerns. The ideal candidate must be a minimum bachelor's degree holder with 2-3 years of professional hands on accounting experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

- This is a full-time, Junior-level position, applicants must have minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in accounting and finance.
- We are based in Santa Clara, California, and are seeking local candidates exclusively. Telecommuting is not an option for this position.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage bookkeeping and other standard accounting operations and invoicing using QuickBooks while accurately recording transactions and adhere to accounting standards.
- Process accounts payable(AP) transactions and maintain vendor records (using Bill.com or similar). Review and process partner and affiliate and vendor payments, addressing discrepancies.
- Support company’s Payroll, employee benefits and retirement accounts for any financial matters.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing reports and documentation.
- Oversee and manage daily accounting inboxes and communications for the company and ensure timely resolution of queries.
- Conduct monthly bank, credit card or any other financial institutes reconciliations and manage intercompany transactions. Support the accounting team with audits, special analyses, budget preparation, and forecasts.
- Collaborate with departments to resolve discrepancies and outstanding items.
- Audit financial data, and various commission statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide documentation and support for year-end tax filings, including 1099s.
- Communicate, collaborate and work with CPA or external parties for accounts and financial matters.
Required Skills:
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and solve complex issues for informed decision-making and accurate reporting.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in financial documents, compliance reports, and tax filings to ensure data integrity.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of accounting software QuickBooks, Bill.com, and advanced Excel skills for efficient financial management.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of Accounting Principles, Basic tax laws, and regulatory requirements for compliance and accurate reporting.
- Strong Communication Skills: Effectively explain financial information to non-accountants, collaborate with colleagues, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Basic Project Management Skills: including effective teamwork, strong collaboration abilities, and proficiency in managing and meeting deadlines.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferred.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in office or professional settings, with a focus on accounting, demonstrating adeptness and competency in relevant responsibilities.
- Capable of working independently, showcasing self-reliance and initiative in completing tasks effectively.
- A team player with a growth mindset who is organized, dependable, and adaptable.

The pay range for this position is $68,500- $85,000 and is dependent on location and experience.
