Job Summary
The Law Clerk provides essential support to our legal team by conducting legal research, drafting documents, managing case files, and assisting with various administrative tasks. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for the legal field and excellent analytical and organizational skills. The Law Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our legal operations and contributes to the successful outcome of cases.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct thorough legal research.
- Drafts memoranda of legal opinions and administrative protests.
- Organize and maintain case files and other relevant documents.
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements and deadlines.
- Assist in scheduling appointments, interviews, and meetings.
- Support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Assist with witness preparation, exhibit preparation, and other trial-related tasks.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including photocopying, scanning, filing, and managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Other assigned tasks, as needed.
Job Type: Temporary, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour

Requirements
Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field.
- Must be presently enrolled in a law program, specifically a 2L student.
- Background in accounting or familiarity with tax law is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods with good posture to avoid discomfort or strain.
- Proficient typing skills are essential for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, and copiers with ease.
- Should have good eyesight or corrective lenses to read and analyze text effectively.
- Must pay close attention to detail when drafting legal documents, conducting research, and reviewing case materials.
- Clear and effective communication skills, including speaking and listening, are essential.
- Should be able to lift and move file boxes and other office supplies as needed.
