Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Project Management: Lead end-to-end data analysis projects, from problem formulation and data exploration to analysis, visualization, and presentation of insights, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Data Exploration: Lead efforts to explore and analyze large datasets to uncover actionable insights and trends, using statistical analysis techniques and data visualization tools.
- Data Visualization: Create compelling data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
- Statistical Analysis: Conduct statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to derive insights from data and validate assumptions, ensuring robust and reliable results.
- Predictive Modeling: Develop predictive models and forecasts to support business decision-making, using techniques such as regression analysis, time series forecasting, and machine learning.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality and integrity by performing data validation, cleaning, and reconciliation tasks, and collaborating with data engineering teams to address data quality issues.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring and tracking mechanisms to assess the performance and impact of data analysis initiatives, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Documentation and Best Practices: Define and promote best practices for data analysis, including data visualization standards, analysis methodologies, and documentation practices, ensuring clear and comprehensive documentation to facilitate understanding and collaboration among team members.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, and software developers, to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions that meet business needs.
- Mentorship and Development: Mentor and coach junior data analysts, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for skill development and career growth, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on statistical analysis, data visualization, and business intelligence.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully leading data analysis teams and delivering impactful insights and recommendations.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib, and proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong statistical analysis skills, with experience in hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time series forecasting.
- Experience with predictive modeling techniques and machine learning algorithms, with proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
