Full Job Description
Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara, LLP is seeking a reliable and certified paralegal. Our paralegals work directly with our attorneys to prepare for upcoming cases, involved in fact-finding projects and responsible for developing and maintaining organization of case files. This position will also include some secretarial and/or administrative duties.
Requirements
Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
- Create reports for attorneys based on case specifications and attorney requests
- Work with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions and other case filings
- Monitor changes to government guidelines or regulations and submit reports on pertinent changes
- Utilize existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases
- Review, analyze, summarize and organize case files, documents, discovery, etc.
- Assist in preparing and organizing subpoenas or other formal requests for documents
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, court e-filing systems, Adobe
A qualified candidate must be extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, reliable, and able to work as a team player in a professional environment. Candidates should have sharp attention to detail, an ability to work in a busy and fast-paced environment, a professional demeanor, able to meet deadlines, along with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
