JOB SUMMARY
SoLa Impact, a successful opportunity zone private equity fund, is seeking a talented Maintenance Technician to add to our growing team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting maintenance staff with general and preventative maintenance services, including work orders, Quick turns, and upkeep of all common areas and grounds. SALARY: $45,000-$58,000 per year

Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Perform routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, windows, doors or wall repair
- Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
- Repair damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
- Maintain building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
- Address and mitigate potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Inspect buildings, equipment and appliances for functionality, checking for faults and fixing them where they exist to keep all things running and functioning properly; make provision for replacement of old and damaged appliances
- Develop and maintain a good relationship with contractors, vendors, and site workers to get the best bargains on property repairs, supplies, and maintenance
- Diagnose problems with appliances and facilitate their prompt repairs for the convenience of property users, and carry out repairs on minor problems, such as light fixtures, clogged toilets, leakages, peeling wall and furniture
- Clean and prep vacated buildings and rooms, getting them ready for new occupants to move in
- Apply preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as an apartment maintenance technician or in a similar role
- HVAC, CMRP, or equivalent certification will be advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds without assistance
- Dexterity and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
SALARY: $45,000-$58,000 per year
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- 3+ years of maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of appliance repairs, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and drywall
- Ability to perform general building, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall repairs as needed
- Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
- Strong Organizational skills
