Full Job Description
Resource Innovations (RI) is seeking a Market Engagement Lead to join our growing team in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a Market Engagement Lead with Resource Innovations, you will work with our marketing teams to develop and execute strategies that engage target markets, drive program awareness, and increase participation in our equity-focused home and business electrification programs. This role will help ensure the success of community outreach strategies to advance an equitable transition to cleaner fuel sources, taking a strategic approach to engaging with various community stakeholders and connecting program participants to resources and installation contractors that will help them navigate and apply for funding and rebates. These programs advance RI’s larger goals to innovate and scale the transformational energy program we implement, maximizing the impact we make on issues of climate change and equity.
RI's equity electrification programs in California are not just about helping residents navigate the maze of utility, state, and federal funding and assistance programs. They are about making a real difference in the lives of residents and businesses, particularly those in underserved and disadvantaged communities. By helping these communities access the resources and support needed to transition to cleaner energy solutions, we aim to reduce energy costs, improve environmental quality, and enhance residents' overall quality of life.
RI is the implementer of two equity-focused home and business electrification programs with a focus on California’s San Francisco Bay Area and Central Valley. These programs will offer direct installation of energy-efficiency and electrification upgrades in homes and businesses.
This role will play a pivotal part in fostering community partnerships to support a network of outreach partnerships that can connect to potential program participants. The ideal candidate for this position will have deep knowledge of California’s and the San Francisco Bay area’s assistance programs for low-to-moderate income households and the energy efficiency and electrification ecosystem. Experience in advancing energy or environmental equity efforts and an ability to problem-solve, coach, and guide local governments and community-based partners working to advance equitable electrification, decarbonization, and/or climate action will be highly valued in this role, which has a significant impact on the community.
This role involves collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and community stakeholders to ensure the program's goals are met effectively and efficiently. The Programs also have a unique research component, offering the Market Engagement Manager an opportunity to assist in forming insights on barriers to adoption and the effectiveness of different electrification strategies.
RI is a women-led energy transformation firm focused on impact. - Conduct outreach activities such as community presentations and information sessions in partnership with stakeholder organizations.
