The April Parker Foundation is seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Director to join our team. The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership and oversight for our CALAIM program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical services to our clients. This role involves collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, developing clinical policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with staff to develop and implement clinical policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards.
- Oversee the quality and effectiveness of medical services provided to clients.
- Review and approve treatment plans and medical orders.
- Participate in case conferences and provide recommendations for complex cases.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to medical staff.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in the field of medicine and incorporate evidence-based practices into the program.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of California.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., family medicine, psychiatry, internal medicine).
- Prior experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a community-based healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with CALAIM program requirements and regulations.
- Experience working with underserved populations and an understanding of social determinants of health.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing culturally sensitive and equitable care.
Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
