Position Summary
The National Sales Manager reports to the Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing and assumes a crucial role within our organization, with the primary responsibility of cultivating the fulfillment of our sales objectives across all regions in the country. This pivotal position centers on providing comprehensive mentorship and leadership to our high-performing sales team. As the National Sales Manager, you will take the lead in steering our company towards success by strategically managing and guiding our sales efforts on a national scale. Your mentorship and expertise will be instrumental in not only achieving but surpassing our sales targets, all while fostering a cohesive and highly effective sales team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee sales forecasting activities and establish performance objectives accordingly.
- Analyze market data to discern customer needs, pricing structures, and discount rates.
- Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to foster and regulate sales initiatives.
- Offer guidance to dealers, distributors, and clients on effective sales and advertising techniques.
- Allocate sales territories to sales representatives.
- Analyze sales data to formulate policies and aid dealers in enhancing sales.
- Lead product simplification and standardization efforts to remove unprofitable items from the product line.
- Act as a company representative at trade association meetings to promote our products.
- Conduct sales presentations to key clients, in collaboration with sales representatives.
- Engage with key clients, assisting sales representatives in maintaining relationships, as well as negotiating and finalizing deals.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
- Prepare regular sales reports reflecting sales volume, potential sales, and areas for potential client base expansion.
- Achieve or surpass projected sales targets.
- Update monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
- Ensure sufficient supply and demand for goods and services.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to optimize sales.
- Recruit and train sales managers and staff.
- Organize and oversee the schedules, territories, and performance of regional and local sales managers.
- Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Handle employee discipline and terminations following company policy.

Requirements
- Must be able to travel
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sales Leadership position or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience on the manufacturing side of security technology products.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience selling PACS, VMS, video analytics, readers, credentials, and related physical security technologies
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in consultative, strategic-selling processes at the C-Level.
- Experience in selling into the Fortune 1000 environment is desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a dealer/installer channel comprising dealers, integrators, and resellers.

This structure allows for advancement as you gain experience and evolve in your role. Your salary and compensation will be determined based on various factors, including your geographical location, skill set, educational background, and work experience.
In the spirit of openness regarding compensation, the base salary range for this position falls between $150,000.00 and $175,000.00 with a $75,000.00 variable commission annually.
