Requirements
Position Summary
You love all things food, drink and yummy food. You may have worked in a restaurant or professional kitchen at some point in your journey. In your free time, you probably roam farmer’s markets or host dinner parties. During the pandemic, you may have gotten into nurturing a sourdough starter.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated New Product Introduction Project Manager for our Beverages and Ingredients division. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, introduction, and integration of new beverage products, ingredients, and recipes. Your primary focus will be on managing the project team, developing workflow processes, and ensuring timely and successful product launches.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the beverage product development stages and team members.
- Develop and document workflow processes for new ingredients, recipes, and menu introductions.
- Report product development progress to senior managers.
- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams.
- Contribute ideas to product development initiatives, including product pricing and positioning strategies.
- Ensure products are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee product deployment and integration.
- Evaluate product performance metrics and facilitate adjustments.
- Manage commercial relationships with assigned suppliers, working with them to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service level expectations.
- Drive execution of production requirements and plan New Project Introduction (NPI).
- Identify and implement risk mitigation actions to ensure successful deliveries and adherence to the schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be present at the SF office on a daily basis.
- Very enthusiastic about the Food and Beverage industry.
- Demonstrate experience in managing supplier deliverables and successfully introducing products.
- Possesses experience in managing major suppliers despite the company being relatively small within the industry.
- Bachelor's degree in technology management, business management, or similar.
- 3-5 years of experience in technical program management, food-service channel, or in a related industry.
- Exceptionally organized, with superior time management, and communication skills; ability to interact with and clearly present information to all levels of management and stakeholders.
- Have strong planning, project management, stage-gate, and execution skills, and the ability to build and manage complex systems and processes
- Advanced knowledge of the full life-cycle of product development.
- Equally comfortable with big picture strategic planning and the details of tactical execution and have no trouble switching between macro and micro views
- Demonstrated success in executing innovation to deliver on time, within budget, and to consumer and internal expectations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Food and Beverage knowledge a plus
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $150,000
Plus bonus and stock options
